Conecta TM: telling a territory's heritage through augmented and virtual reality
Conecta TM is an initiative we're exploring to tell the history and heritage of a territory using augmented reality and virtual reality -- designed for places with strong historical and architectural weight, such as downtown Cartagena or Popayán's historic center. The idea is that someone could walk through a place and, through their device, see layers of historical information overlaid on the real architecture, or explore virtual reconstructions of moments or spaces that no longer physically exist. Conecta TM is in a development and exploration phase: it is not yet an operating product, and it doesn't currently have a public implementation anywhere specific. For now, it's the direction we're pushing a question we find valuable: what happens when technology is put in service of telling people who we are, instead of just selling something.
